Winchester Arms - Trull

Our room was well-equipped and nicely furnished with private bathroom and the overall experience was very nice. It was in a nice and lovely location not too far from Church of All Saints...

I was travelling to Trull for one night. The location was beautiful and great, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Trull Waterfall. The room was nicely furnished & comfy with private bathroom. Welcoming staff, suggested places to visit.

What a grand spot! The food was lovely, especially the hearty portions, and we were chuffed with the warm, friendly welcome from the staff. The only downside was that the room had a shared bathroom, which was a bit awkward at times. a mighty stay!

The room was very clean and included biscuits. We did experience issues with the shared bathroom timing.

Great roast beef for lunch, but the shared bathroom was a hassle.

The staff greeted us warmly and were helpful throughout, especially when we sought advice about the local area. The bed was comfy, and the breakfast was hearty, with generous portions of freshly cooked meals.

Shared bathroom access was a minor inconvenience.

The food was lovely with big portions, and the outdoor seating was a great spot to relax after exploring. We even found a cute little waterfall nearby! A huge plus was the bar's excellent beer selection.

Lekker stay in Trull 🇿🇦

The staff were super friendly and even sorted out my gluten free brekkie request with ease. Room was clean and comfy, loved the soft bedding! The owners were really down-to-earth, skinnering with us like old mates.

Shared bathroom was a bit of a schlep, especially during peak times.

Wow, what an experience! I almost had a lovely stay until I discovered the bar closes at 9pm-so uncivilized! The shared bathroom was just good, said no one ever. If I'd known I wouldn't get a complimentary upgrade for my troubles, I wouldn't have bothered. And don't even get me started on the carpets, dreadful!

The warm and friendly service stood out, exemplified by staff going the extra mile to accommodate our family during dinner. The spacious room boasted a comfortable bed and convenient tea-making facilities. Access to a shared bathroom posed some challenges, and the closure of the bar earlier than expected limited our evening gatherings. While the breakfast selection was excellent, the dinner timings could also be better aligned with guest needs.

The bar had a great selection of beers and we loved the BBQ nights. The food in the restaurant was great too. Staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend it for a fun getaway with mates!

But on our first night, there were some loud patrons in the bar, which really affected the atmosphere for us.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

Enjoyed a quiet night's rest in room 5, though the refrigeration fan was a bit noisy. Breakfast had potential, but a better selection of sausages would enhance it. Be sure to check meal times, as we found dinner unavailable Sunday evening, prompting an unexpected dinner search nearby.

No ensuite facilities created minor inconveniences with shared bathroom access. The bar closing at 9 PM made for an awkward situation during a match where doubling up on beer was necessary, and breakfast lacked variety with the sausage selection.

The venue was in a stunning and marvelous location close enough to the Winchester Arms. A proper pub with excellent food and really friendly staff at a very reasonable price.- It was convenient and close to Vivary park for a concert.
